Share this with the students in your life: the New Hampshire Knights of Columbus are once again holding a pro-life essay contest. Deadline for entries is December 15. Cash prizes are available (woo-hoo! I knew that would get your attention).
Here’s the full press release from the K of C:
The New Hampshire Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a student Pro-Life essay contest open to any Junior High (grades 6-8) and Senior High (grades 9-12) student in NH. The NH Knights of Columbus will make up to six cash awards of $100 available, three each for Junior High and Senior High. The theme for the contest this year is: “How Can I Use My Unique Gifts and Talents to Advance a Culture of Life?”
Rules: The deadline for submissions is Midnight, December 15, 2015. Essays may not be longer than 500 words; typed, and submitted as a PDF or Word Document and must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Include student name, age, grade, school, parent name and address, phone, parish and email. Students may obtain help & information, including from parents, teachers, friends, and internet but the essay itself must be the student’s own work.
Further contest details may be obtained from Knights of Columbus New Hampshire contest chairman John P. Matuszewski (603-434-4098) or New Hampshire State Pro-Life Chairman Ron Distasio (603-595-7837).
While I see the word “parish” in there, the press release says the contest is open to ANY student in grades 6-12 in New Hampshire. Go ahead – give it a try.
